EBAY ENTERPRISE

eBay Enterprise is a global leader in digital commerce and needed a comprehensive new brand system to use across all print and digital applications. I designed the new global visual brand system which included a custom linear grid motif, color and typography palettes, illustrations, videos and photography. This design vision drove all digital and print brand marketing deliverables.

Website redesign.

The new visual system debuted on the full website redesign. To increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the website, it was also re-developed from the ground up onto a powerful new CMS platform.

New features.

The website’s new site architecture and interactive elements elevated the online brand experience for eBay Enterprises’s full suite of offerings.

Brand guidelines in action.

The guidelines I developed were directly applied to all digital typography, color, illustration and phography styles to create visual cohesion.

Resources section.

A newly created resource section empowered sales and marketing teams with valuable content integral to their specific business goals.

Template design.

I created a template for each page type to allow easy page content updates. All website page designs included spec sheets and branded assets.

Merging with Magento.

As Magento merged under eBay Enterprise, it was critical to ensure content for both companies had their own place on the website. A key section of the website where this was made possible is the newly designed blog pages.

Before the redesign.

To better understand the full impact of the redesign, this is how the website looked with their old brand system.

The challenges with this version of the website:

  • The website was not responsive

  • Navigation was clunky and not intuitive

  • Content pages were sparse

  • Inconsistent use of typography

  • No variation between different types of pages

  • Lack of supporting visual elements

  • Color palette was not optimized for screens
