IYKYK MOBILE APP

VideoAmp is an innovative company that built a culture which encourages employees to experiment with new ideas. This sense of autonomy allowed me to pitch, build and launch IYKYK: a native mobile app that amplifies the VideoAmp brand. I partnered with app development agency, Metajive, to combine employee resources, event management and company information into this unique mobile app offered to VideoAmp employees and its clients.

Make it personal.

From personalized dashboards to exclusive in-app content, IYKYK is a full-fledged native app that was released on both Apple and Google Play stores. Like a concierge in your pocket, day-by-day agendas, activity RSVPs, company resources and The Drop Shop are all available within IYKYK.

Cannes Lions debut.

IYKYK debuted at Cannes Lions 2022 to a group of VideoAmp VIP clients. These clients received exclusive access to this app which served as a pocket concierge for their week-long programming.

Scaling IYKYK.

Beyond Cannes Lions, IYKYK was used for client and employee experiences at CES, Coachella Music Festival and HMCMNG events.

POCKET GLOSSARY

Working in an industry that is flooded with confusing terms and acronyms inspired us to develop a comprehensive, but fun, glossary to help educate our peers. Pocket glossary was born during an adrenaline-fueled 24-hour Hackathon. Our winning project led to the full development of Pocket within the IYKYK app. Team MK⚡DC included 2 engineers and 2 designers.

Preliminary designs.

The preliminary design used for Pocket was published into a fully functioning web app. From there, the design was evolved to match the design of the IYKYK mobile app which you can see in the next iteration below.

The VideoAmp touch.

While the focus of the glossary was to define complex AdTech terms, we didn’t shy away from bringing a touch of VideoAmp fun. Some terms that are inside jokes to VideoAmp employees were also included as easter eggs.

A true collaboration.

The best part of this Hackathon was the opportunity to work with employees that aren’t part of our day-to-day. With the pressure of producing a final product within 24 hours, this project allowed us to lean on one another’s expertise, troubleshoot and learn at an incredible speed.

Branding.

Additionally, I branded the Hackathon event itself. Participants received a gift box including a t-shirt, stickers and headband using the logo and theme graphics.

Inspiration.

The artwork was inspired by the nature of a hackathon. A hackathon is a bit chaotic, allows participants to uncover new skills and is a special event where employees get to collaborate. The shapes are a nod to the VideoAmp company value icons to bridge brand continuity.
